Tips: How to get the most out of the show
Before the show:
·
Arrive at the theatre about
a half an hour before the show starts. That way you have plenty of
time to find your seats, use the restrooms, or buy souvenirs.
·
Read the program! Find
out who's who in the cast, and what the show's about.
·
Bring along pen and paper to
play tic-tac-toe, or a small game to play while waiting for the show to
start.
During
the show:
·
Remember theatre is live:
the actors can hear if you talk or if your cell phone rings! Turn
off anything that will make noise and try not to talk
·
Sit back and enjoy!
During
Intermission:
·
Intermission is a good time
to buy souvenirs, refreshments, or visit the restroom if you are prepared
to brave long lines.
·
Get up and stretch your legs
so you're refreshed for Act II. In most theatres, you can take a
look at the orchestra pit. If you're lucky, you might see some of
the musicians with their instruments.
·
Remember that in most
theatres refreshments are only allowed in the lobby.
